/tmp folder filling up with large files

edited November 6 in Troubleshooting
Hi,

I just updated to 1.7.5 for providence and pawtucket and for some reason my /tmp folder is filling up 10+ gb of data a day.  The files look like

phppttmpFDxTRK
phppttmpr4pew1
phppttmpZ9GmBC
phpxltmpCLChjp
phpxltmpP7g4NO

The php* files look like they contain data relating to the media folder and they are very large files.

I'm not sure the exact cause of it because I haven't caught one of them open with lsof

I haven't been importing any media either during these times.

Thanks and Regards!

  • Hi, It looks like these large files are being generated by the PHPExcel plugin.  Where else besides data import is this plugin used?
  • It is used when you export/download data as Excel.
  • Hi, thanks.  The issue resolved itself when I disabled Download as Excel from Pawtucket.  I'm not sure why, but this feature was demanding a lot of storage resources.
